Lifelong Learning

CSRD Prizma was included in the Lifelong Learning Programme, implemented by the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility.

A representative from CSRD PRIZMA took part in a study visit “Older workers in companies and on the labour market” in Cologne, Germany, from 12 to 16 May 2014, organized by the German Confederation of Trade Unions (Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund – DGB NRW) and the Association of German Adult Education Centres (Volkshochschule – VHS).

About the study visit:
Because of demographic change new models for human resources development and job structures in companies are needed to cope with the age and health of the workforce.

They also need to consider existing qualifications and innovative ability of companies. On the labour market older workers have significant problems in finding a new job. Hence, there are new challenges for employees, companies, social partners and politicians.

Activities contributed to learning about:
• social partners’ contribution to lifelong learning of older workers;
• models to produce a balanced age structure and innovative ability in companies;
• models for labour policy and staffing policy which cope with demographic change processes in companies;
• active employment policy and development of new fields of activity for the older workforce.
